As many others before, this story starts with a dream.
The dream of a space where people from different backgrounds could meet and exchange, empower each other and build a community; a dream that Mira! Intercultural community and Open Doors Hungary found to have in common.
They were sharing stories and visions, discussing experiences and values during Open Doors’ birthday party on a gloomy January day of 2018, when someone spoke everyone else’s mind and dared to say it loud: “What if we worked together, joined forces?”.
That sparked a light: it warmed hearts and triggered a lot of daydreaming.
And then the party was over, everyone was heading home and the daydream slowly dissolved into “sziasztok!” and “let’s keep in touch”.
But some dreams are more than that, they are goals you are willing to work for, they are a vision you want to be part of your daily life, they stick in the back of your mind until you start working for them to grow stronger and bigger and finally turn into reality.
This one particular dream succeeded and everyone today can give a look at it, take part into it even, just by making their way to Bokréta utca 10.
Today MiraDoor is the best Intercultural Community Space in Budapest - the only one!

It's an open and welcoming space inviting people to visit, join, share and contribute. It's situated at the IXth district of Budapest at Bokréta utca 10.
